The Disneyland Resort has gone all out this year in bringing Halloween to the California Adventure Park, even giving it a new name: “Haul-O-ween!”
In addition to the usual decorations in Disneyland, the imagineers have expanded on the experience by adding elements and designs to its sister park. This is the first year they have decorated this park so extensively. Most of the decoration is in Cars Land with Mater and the gang getting in on the action, but Buena Vista Street gets into the festivities as well as the Carthay Circle Restaurant and the corner of Buena Vista and Hollywood Boulevard with the Headless Horseman.
And around both parks you will find that the characters are getting in the spirit; even the food is getting in on the act!
Disneyland is still celebrating the season with their “Mickey’s Halloween Party” on select nights from September 15th to October 31st. All of the parties were sold out before the middle of September, but you don’t need a party ticket to see the decorations and enjoy yourself at a Disneyland Park.
Even it you are not someone who is into Halloween for whatever reason, Disney makes it fun and adventuresome for all ages without the zombies, guts and gore.
We’ve added a couple of galleries of photos we shot during our trips to the park this month. We didn’t include everything, and we didn’t have time to experience everything ourselves – so we challenge you visit Disneyland and California Adventure before the season is gone and catch what we missed!
