10 Magical Years

“Who’s the leader of the club…?”  We all know the answer to that question.  But did you know that it’s possible to be a member of the ultimate fan club?  If you consider yourself the “ultimate” fan, nerd, or geek, or just like to experience more of the Disney magic, then a membership in “D23 – The Official Fan Club” should be on your list.

D23 membership gift and magazine

As a member, you don’t just get to call yourself a member of D23, but opportunities and privileges abound.  You can have “Lunch With a (Disney) Legend,” tour the Animation and Imagineering Studios, along with the Disney Archives, attend pre-release screenings of Disney movies, receive additional discounts and more.  In August 2019, the biennial D23 Expo will arrive at the Anaheim Convention Center for 3 days of everything Disney, where you can attend inductions to the Hall of Legends and discussion panels, see upcoming changes to the parks, meet Hollywood stars and buy exclusive merchandise.  Some of these are free, others have an additional fee required.  Membership also includes a quarterly publication called Twenty-Three which has additional information and stories behind your favorite attraction, character, or movie.

Disney Milestone Pins

This year is the 10th anniversary of the D23 club, and for those joining or renewing their membership, they receive a set of collectible pins highlighting anniversary milestones in Disney history.

So what’s the cost?  Like everything else, there is a price attached.  The cost of a Gold Membership is $99.  When attending an event, this usually provides for the member and one guest.  There is a Gold Family membership for $129 which usually provides for the member and 3 additional guests.

We’ve been members since 2012, and can’t imagine ever leaving this club.  We have had great opportunities to have lunch with Bill Farmer (voice of Goofy), see movies before they are released, buy exclusive merchandise, meet other Disney stars (Karen Dotrice and Cindy Morgan), attend Mickey’s 90th Birthday Party and special presentations, go to new park attractions before opening to the public and meet some very interesting people.

We’d say “put it on your Christmas list,” but that might be too late, plus you’d miss out on so much!  Click on the link or the logo on the right to look over the page and follow then “Join D23.”

(Disclaimer – we do not receive any monetary benefit from this post – we just really enjoy this club and think you should, too!)
